We have only one earth.But now,the environment becomes worse and worse.As you know,there's no enough clean water for people.So many of them lose their lives because of water.In a lot of countries,people have to cut trees for living.So there's nothing to keep waterfromrunning away.Also we have polluted the land,the river and the air.Some people may say:we are the masters of nature.Now the "master" seems to be confronted with problems that are far beyond his control.
The holes of the ozone layer make the earth less suitable to live for some creatures including human beings.Facing all the disasters made by ourselves,we have the responsibility to deal with the problem.
We must do something useful to protect our environment.We can plant trees and take good care of them.We can save the water and ask our parents to do so.We can't throw any litter onto the ground and we should collect them for recycling.If we take good care of our earth today,it will be more beautiful tomorrow.

we often hear people say, "never give up." it may be to encourage others, or to express their resolve. believe in yourself, no matter how many times you fail, you will keep trying to reach your goal.
in my opinion, the determination to succeed is an important trait that everyone should have. so i think we should never give up.
one reason is that if we give up too easily, we can hardly do anything. it is not unusual for us to fail in our first attempt at something new, so we should not feel discouraged and should try again. besides, if we always give up when we fail, we can't develop new skills and grow up.
another reason we should never give up is that we can learn from our mistakes only if we work hard again. if we do not try again, the lesson we have learned is wasted. finally, we should never give up because when we work hard to achieve our goals, we develop confidence, and this confidence will help us succeed in other areas of our lives.
if we don't challenge ourselves, we will begin to doubt our abilities.

It is easy to describe success in terms of money, fame and reputation. But I believe that success is not external. I believe that success es from within. My definition of success is to be true to yourself, and be true to others. That means, that you must cherish your personal ideal even in the face of adversity. I also believe that success is not discriminatory. Success is not restricted to such a class of people, in fact, it may be achieved by any person irrespective of his race, creed, gender and economic background. A good example of success is that of Beethoven. He is one of the worlds most famous posers, yet he was deaf. He could not hear the majestic pieces of music that he created. Yet, in the face of this adversity, he was able to maintain his idealsthat of posing music.
To exemplify what success means to me, I pose a question to all of you. What brings us together here today? I believe that it is the beauty of the spoken word. The effect of pause and the sound of rhetoric are unique to the spoken word. I believe the beauty of the spoken word is even stronger for those who have difficulty in expressing themselves. These people are reclusive and had their emotions hidden within them. I once went to Australia and I saw two pictures, Once was drawn by a normal child, the other was drawn by a child with social inhibitions. The picture drawn by the normal child was simple and plain. The other was lifelike, full of details and imagination. What this shows is that these are ideas, emotions and feelings that are locked internally in these children.
My ideal is to be the key, spreading the beauty of the spoken words to these children. These children have been neglected, but I feel that I can and should help these children to find themselves and be able to express themselves.
I realize that this is a difficult task, and there are many obstacles on the way. But I believe in my ideals and I will stick to themeven in the face of adversity. We should never have a premature abortion of idealslet the child, let our ideals, stand the challenge. For a life without ideals is not living.

And I think its no accident that we think this way. Neuroscientists have actually shown that human beings are hardwired to be optimists.
So maybe thats why we think of fear, sometimes, as a danger in and of itself. “Dont worry,” we like to say to one another. “Dont panic.” In English, fear is something we conquer. Its something we fight.
Its something we overcome. But what if we looked at fear in a fresh way? What if we thought of fear as an amazing act of the imagination, something that can be as profound and insightful as storytelling itself?
Its easiest to see this link between fear and the imagination in young children, whose fears are often extraordinarily vivid.
When I was a child, I lived in California, which is, you know, mostly a very nice place to live, but for me as a child, California could also be a little scary.
I remember how frightening it was to see the chandelier that hung above our dining table swing back and forth during every minor earthquake, and I sometimes couldnt sleep at night, terrified that the Big One might strike while we were sleeping.
And what we say about kids who have fears like that is that they have a vivid imagination. But at a certain point, most of us learn to leave these kinds of visions behind and grow up.
We learn that there are no monsters hiding under the bed, and not every earthquake brings buildings down. But maybe its no coincidence that some of our most creative minds fail to leave these kinds of fears behind as adults.
