A Young Idler,An Old Beggar
Almost everyone knows the famous Chinese saying：A young idler，an old beggar.Throughout history，we have seen many cases in which this saying has again and again proved to be true.
It goes without saying that the youth is the best time of life，during which ones mental and physical states are at their peaks.It takes relatively less time and pains to learn or accept new things in a world full of changes and rapid developments.In addition，one is less likely to be under great pressure from career，family and health problems when young.Therefore，a fresh mind plus enormous energy will ensure success in different aspects of life.
Of course，we all know：no pains，no gains.If we dont make every effort to make good use of the advantages youth brings us，it is impossible to achieve any goals.As students，we should now try our best to learn all the subjects well so that we can be well prepared for the challenges that we will face in the future.

Good morning/afternoon!
First thing first, I gotta say,wow,its funny thing to be given a chance like that.Trurh be told,I really got a little bit nervous before I stand right here ,so called stage fright.If you look
specifically on me.You may find my hands shaking,pretty assembles the guy who suffered from Pakinsons disease,and legs wobbling ,like I caught so called ball leg.Okay,lets stop going around the bush and get back to my topic today.I really like to talk a funny story I have just heard.
A lady called Lucy emigrated to United States several years ago.Her spoken English is not that fluent.And one day,she is just
sitting on the couch with his U.S friends Mandy watching Sit Com.A noise of bump had the attention of Mandy,which led her to go out of the house trying to figure out what had happened.Can you imagine that Mandy go straight out with merely a sweater.So Lucy shouted at her,"Lucy ,turn your clothes on." What suprised her most,beyond her wildest imagination, is that almost all the male in this country took their head out of the window.Admittedly,Lucy made a mistake here.The word spitted means Mandy is totally naked to the reason that male looked out of the window.The right sentence shall be,"put your clothing on."The story inspires you to take a careful look on the vast difference between eastern and western culture.

尊敬的徐老师、亲爱的同学们：
大家好！
我叫xxx，12岁，今天我要竞选的职位是英语课代表。这是我人生中第一次竞争演讲，所以未免有些紧张，上台前我犹豫了许久，也曾想打退堂鼓，但对于英语的热爱最终促使我走上了这讲台，希望同学们多多鼓励我，支持我！
我热爱英语，6岁开始学习阶梯英语，小学六年，我的英语成绩班里一直都是名列前茅，而且每次我们班主办学校的“红领巾广播”时，我都是当仁不让的英语主播，特别是我的英语口语经常得到英语老师的表扬。
我认为英语课代表首先要热爱英语、成绩好，才能为大家作表率。其次，英语课代表应该有较强的责任心，要树立为老师分忧、为同学解难、为同学服务的思想，做好老师和同学之间沟通的桥梁，更要帮助那些需要帮助的同学。最后，还必须要有虚怀若谷的精神，只有虚心接受老师和同学们的意见才能不断进步，做好工作。总之，我认为英语课代表的任务就是“让同学们都能爱上英语，和同学们一起提高英语水平”。
如果不能当选，我也不会气馁，我会改进自己的不足，更加努力地学习，在学习中积极配合英语课代表的工作，为提高全班的英语成绩贡献自己的一点力量。
我真诚希望大家相信我，支持我，给我这次展示能力的机会。我将在这一片属于我们的天空中挥洒汗水，为班级的明天绘出一幅美好的蓝图。
