Learning English with English speech is an essential activity. English speech, not only can we have learned into practice, more attractive to pass the language. Students to overcome the psychological barriers standing confidently express their feelings in English on the podium. Below this is an outstanding high school students English speech.
Good morning, ladies and gentlemen,!
I’m very glad to make a speech here. Today my topic is “I love you, China.” Since the day I was born, I began to have a proud name―Chinese. Since the day I began to talk, the most beautiful sentence I’ve ever learnt has been “I love you, China!” I love you, China, and I’m so proud of being a Chinese. I’m proud that I’ve got the beautiful yellow skin, black eyes and black hair. I’m also proud that I speak the most beautiful language in the world―Chinese. I love you, China, for I can feel the deep love you give me every day, every minute. Last year, I got an opportunity to visit the United States of America. During my staying there, my father’s boss once invited my family to dinner. While at , he looked at me and asked: “Little boy, how long have you been in America?” “About a month,” I answered, “How lucky you are!” he said, “If you were living in China, how could you learn such perfect English?” I smiled and told him proudly that all the students in China are able to learn English at school. I saw his surprised eyes and said to myself, “I’m proud of you, China ”.
Thank you for your listening!
Be Grateful to Life
At the beginning I would like to share a story with you. Once American President Roosevelt’s house was broken into and lots of things were stolen. Hearing this, one of his friends wrote to comfort him. President Roosevelt wrote back immediately, saying:“Dear friend, thank you for your letter, but I am all right now. I think I should thank God. for three reasons: firstly, the thief only stole things from me but did not hurt me at all; secondly, the thief has stolen some of my things instead of all my things; thirdly, most luckily for me, it was the man rather than me who became a thief.
It is certainly unlucky for anyone to be stolen from. However, President Roosevelt had three reasons to be grateful. This story tells us we should learn to be grateful in our life. There is a sentence from Mahatma Gandhi:“Live as you were to die tomorrow, learn as you were to live forever. ”
Great people are always showing their love to the world. How about us?You can not do everything, but still you can do something. So, be grateful to your life, all the people and things in your life.
Be grateful to the nature, for the fresh air you breathe, the clean water you drink, the beautiful flower you smell.
Be grateful to your parents, for they gave birth to you and taught you right from wrong.
Be grateful to your teachers, for they let you understand “what”,“how”and“why” with great patience.
Be grateful to your friends, for you have known each other since you were 9 or 10 and faced the difficulties together for so many years.
Be grateful to your lover, for he/she gave you love and helped you find the sun every time you were down.
Mother Teresa once said:“People really need help, but may attack you if you help them. Help people anyway; Give the world the best you have and you may get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you have anyway.” At last I want to say: being grateful can bring us a better and more beautiful life. Why don’t we have a try? Let’s get it started!
Thank you for your listening!
Dear teachers, dear students:
hello everyone!
Students! In his congratulatory letter to the _ anniversary of the construction of the young pioneers, Grandpa _ proposed to our young pioneers to bear in mind the heavy trust of the party and the people, and strive to be a good young man who studies hard and pursues progress.
So, how can we study hard? How to pursue the progress?
I remember the ancients saying, "three more lights and five more chickens, it is the boy who read. Black hair does not know how to study early, but white head regrets how late he studies. If you don't eat, you are hungry, you will be foolish if you don't read. Gorky said“ Books are the ladder of human progress. " "Great Zhou said," Dajiang song turned to the East, and he was poor in the world. "Ten years of face wall breaking, difficult to pay for sea and hero"
It can be seen that our predecessors study hard and advance their spirit, how persistent; How touching, how can we not be deeply learning?
In our happy campus, in the good learning environment and such superior learning conditions, learning has different views; I have seen in extracurricular books that "learning is a burden, it is not lazy and greedy"; Others think that "learning is like chewing wax, it is not as sweet as cheese and bread." others think that "learning is just going through the field, learning and not learning" and so on. However, I think learning is a kind of enjoyment, which can make you intoxicated; Learning is a piece of music that can enrich you. Make you happy in the strings of music. Learning is a delicious, it can make you try sweet, sour and spicy; Only learning! Only know that I am behind. Only learning! Find the gap with others. Only learning! And then you can get up and down; Learning, going forward and working hard are always on the same line. Whip you always forward; But they have a fundamentally different side. That is, it never ends“ Learning without end! There is no side to learn the sea to make a boat! "
Students! Study hard! Go for the best! Learn new knowledge, read noble and cultivate spirituality; The pursuit makes your eyes look wider from afar. Reading makes the mind travel through time and space, and pursues the immortal world in the future! Thank you!
As a student, we have studied for many years. During there years, we study Chinese, English, science and so on. In this period, with the improvement of our knowledge, we not only read the books in class but also read extracurricular after school. In my opinion Dream of the red chamber is the best book I have read. In this book, the great author Cao xueqin his view about love. He had firmly faith in what is the true love and try to tell us that there are different kinds of love, only one kind which should be considered as True Love.
In a dream, and under mythical circumstances, the main character of the novel, Jia baoyu, met the Fairy Disenchantment in the Land of Illusions. She showed him three "registers" each containing the names and "the happenings in life" of 12 girls in his clan. Each girl represents a kind of love.
From the stories which are unfolding in the novel, the reader should know the characteristics of the different kinds of love, and should be able to distinguish True Love from the other kinds.
True love is acceptance, committal, mutual and without any post conditions. The love between Lin daiyu and Jia baoyu is considered to be True Love. Just saying or hearing I love you is not good enough because talk is cheap. Action in mutual commitment is essential, as we can see in the novel.
We always have dreams. What’s ours dream? Do you know what you exactly want? And do you work hard for it. In this book, you can taste the feeling of the author about his strong will. In his words, you can find the charm of Chinese. It is not a book, but a precious deposits. You can get a lot from it. But unfortunately, the novel was never "completed" to such a state. On the other hand, maybe, it is another kind of beauty of the book. If you have not read this book yet, just go and read it. You will love it.
To me March 28th was a lucky day. It was on that particular evening that I found myself at central stage, in the spotlight. Winning the 21st Century・Ericsson Cup Seventh National English Speaking Competition is a memory that I shall treasure and one that will surely stay.
More important than winning the Cup is the friendship that has been established and developed among the contestants, and the chance to communicate offstage in addition to competing onstage. Also the competition helps boost public speaking in China, a skill hitherto undervalued.
For me, though, the competition is a more personal experience. Habitually shy, I had been reluctant to take part in any such activities. Encouraged by my friends, however, I made a last-minute decision to give it a try. In the course of preparation I somehow rediscovered myself, a truer me.
I found that, after all, I like communicating with other people; that exchanging views can be so much fun―and so much rewarding, both emotionally and intellectually; that public speaking is most effective when you are least guarded; and that it is essential to success in every walk of life.
