As we all know, healthy is very important to everybody. But do you really know how to stay healthy?
Here are some useful tips. First, we should do exercise if we have time. For example, we can go to swim in the summer holiday. Or we can take a walk after supper.Doing exercise makes us healthy and strong. Second, we should take more vegetables and fruit and less candies. Stop eating junk food and drinking beers. Last but not least, we should go to bed early and wake up early. We should have enough sleep, or we will get sleepy in the day time. If we pay more attention to the tips above, we will have healthier body.
I wish everybody has a strong and healthy body.
Dear teachers and students
Because birds choose the blue sky, they can fly heartily; The brook can flow freely because it chooses the sea; Pine trees show the tenacity of life because they choose the precipitous; Flowers show the beauty of life because they choose to bloom. And I had a dream because I chose to fly.
Boys and girls, let's build up our faith and let our dreams fly. You will be able to go to a beautiful place with it. Set your faith and dream, and you will have a more brilliant tomorrow.
thank you.
Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, today i am so happy to stand here to give you a speech.Or rather, a real story of mine.
Though with time going by,i can still remember what you once told me.You should be a brave girl.Smiling, you looked into my eyes.Year in,year out, nearly most of my memories are fading little by little. But only this simple sentence remained, without being forgotten in my life. Again and again,i can not stop myself from thinking about it.So ordinary, but so impressive,so moving, just like the brightest sunshine,it helps me go through the darkest night.I am such a sensitive girl in your heart. You said,my sorroful facial expression made feel so
distersssed. However, there is one thing i never tell you, that is ,i am becoming a big girl gradually with your words and smiles.I never tell you about it,for i believe oneday, you can see the great changes of mine for yourself. That is what i want to do in return. As i know, that will be the best gift for you.
I suddenly think of a song named MY HEART WILL GO ON.There is a beautiful sentence going like this. You are safe in my heart.More than once,i was moved to tears by it.I know ,i am also safe in your heart.i have already forgotten when i told you i was going to leave for Australia this summer holiday. You just smiled as usual, gently speaking.Whatever you decide to do,i will be in favor of it,but, just onething, remember, when you fell lonely abroad,do not forget we are here ,praying for you.We are all around you,far across the distance and space between us.i closed my eyes, the flashback started. The memories we had together, once we played games on the palyground,we played jokes on each other, you always wrote a lot of sentences on my articles to encourage me.And the most unforgetable thing, you told me,you believed m i could be a big girl.Sooner or later. At that specific moment,i suddenly understood the meaning of this sentence totally. So on that day,i smiled as you used to,looking at you.The last words i said were,
keep walking in sunshine.
Yes,keep walking in sunshine.I said to you ,also to myself.I know i am not alone wiht your company, and we can keep walking in sunshine till the last minute of our days.
I promise,i will be a big girl.
I promise,i will be a brave girl.
I promise,i will keep walking in sunshine. That is my speech, thank you!
Which Is More Important: Knowledge from Books or
Knowledge from Experience
As we know, most knowledge we have comes from two sources: the books or personal experience in our daily life. Each one has its advantage. Maybe some people think that book knowledge is more important than experience knowledge. However, I am strongly against their opinion. I consider that experience is more useful.
Firstly, practical experience can help us find jobs successful. There are two kinds of people: experienced employees and college graduates, if you are a manager, which one do you prefer? There is no doubt that you will choose the experienced employees. Because they have more practical knowledge, they understand what their companies needs and how to make profit for their companies. Some college graduates have learned much book knowledge, but they can’t take advantage of these theories effectively. Therefore, many companies are not willing to employ graduates. This phenomenon tells us experience is more important for us to find good jobs.
Secondly, experience can give us more impressed knowledge. It’s said that one learn by doing, if you want to make advances, it’s necessary to practice. Moreover, we learn how to get along with others or how to have self-respect from experience. We feel happy and sorrow directly from experience. The precious knowledge absolutely can’t get from
books.
Thirdly, our country’s development depends on innovation, which comes from experimentation. Comparing Chinese education system with American’s, we know that Chinese education usually pay more attention to scores students get and neglect their ability of innovation. On the contrary, American education emphasizes personal practice, that’s the reason why the progress of American technology is so rapid. The contrast reminds us of the importance of experience knowledge.
Needless to say both learning sources have their own advantages. But in my opinion, experience knowledge is more important, because without practical experience, it’s impossible to get a real understanding of book knowledge, and to know how to apply this knowledge to real situations.

Hello, ladies and gentlemen. Today my topic is The Road Not Taken in Life.
“Why are you doing this? Don’t you know it’s a total waste of time?” That’s what my mom yelled at the ten-year-old me, when she found out that I had signed up for an English story-telling competition.
I bowed my head; yes, she was right. By then I was entering Grade Six, faced with the biggest challenge yet to come—the examination to enter my dream junior high school. For that, I had given up my beloved piano lesson, my favorite cartoon program and even the playful weekend family reunion with my cousins. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if my very-strict-university-teacher mother got furious at me when I chose to do anything besides study at that crucial moment.
But that’s not all to it. Now please take a good look at the twenty-year-old me, and imagine what I was like when I was ten. Here are the key words: nervous, timid, shy, tongue-tied when facing strangers, and essentially a bookworm. These signs looked fatal to my mother, and possibly to you, too; she thought that I could be anything but a good public speaker.
Well, I myself actually said no to my English teacher at first, because I had never done anything like that before and I was afraid. But he told me since I liked reading so much, why not try to tell a story I love to everyone? He also promised me that the judges were not frightening at all; just think of them as carrots and cabbages in a vegetable patch.
The ten-year-old me was persuaded by my teacher’s words. The feeling of telling my beloved stories to someone else ignited a spark of anticipation in my little chest. So I chose to endure my mother’s ranting for an entire hour, then raised my head bravely and pleaded: “Mom, please. I just want to try.”
My mother looked as if she was on the verge of another outburst—but she only sighed. I took that as her permission, and started working with my teacher day and night to find a story, to illustrate the details, and to practice my facial expressions and gestures in front of the mirror. On the day of the competition, I went on the stage for the very first time in my life; I could feel the nervousness threatening to bring me down, and I felt cheated by my teacher: it was impossible to picture the judges as mere carrots and cabbages. But I went on. Although I only got the third prize at that time, on that stage I stayed ever since, even to this very moment.
I should thank my teacher and my mother for letting me take a road that I have never taken before. Little did I know then that this road would one day lead the shy little ten-year-old me into a wonderland; it led me to meet all of you here today. I can tell you from the bottom of my heart that it isn’t so terrifying to venture into the unknown at all; all you need is a little courage and determination. See where my road has led me, and bravely take your first step.
