第一篇：坚持梦想的英文演讲稿
Everyone has his dreams, but not all these dreams can come true. People give up their dreams for this or that reason. Those whose dreams become true have at least one thing in common, that is, they always hold fast to their dreams.
Marie Curie, a famous scientist, has set a good example. In 1898, Marie found a new elent in the pitchblende. In order to prove her discovery, she must get it and show it to the world. Then to get the new elent became her dream and goal of her life. After four years hard work and refinent of tons of pitchblende, Marie and her hus-band at last saw the dim blue light of the new elent -- radium. Her dream had come true. There are many other examples. Just around us, for instance, the athletes who gain the gold medals, the artists who are popular with the public, and even the students who enter tile university after years of hard study and preparation, are all dream-holders.
Hold fast to your dreams, no matter how big or small they are. The path to dreams may not be smooth and wide, even some sacrifices are needed, but hold on to the end, you ,sill find there is no greater happiness than making your dream come true.

尊敬的老师，亲爱的同学们：
大家好！
一个人总要有梦想，有了梦想，才会去放飞梦想、追逐梦想。我不甘被困在只属于自己的小小的世界里，眼界似井底之蛙一般狭小。为此，我决定离开自己舒适、温暖的家，走向远方，去开拓视野，增长见识。
于是，我整理好行李，背上行装，朝着远方出发了。
我走呀走，走呀走，一条激流翻滚的河流挡住了我的去路。我一下子愣住了，不知该如何渡过。忽然，迎面走来了一个老者，鹤发童颜，神采奕奕。老者问我：“小朋友，你要到哪里去呀？”我怯怯地回答：“老爷爷，我想去追求自己的梦想，朝着远方不断前进。可眼下这条小河挡住了我的去路，小河上又没有桥，我……”老者捋了捋长长的胡须，睿智地说：“只要你拥有坚定的信念，坚忍的性格，这一条小小的河流又怎能阻挡你的步伐呢？
记住，你不要去想是否成功，既然已经选择了远方，就要一直坚持下去。”说完，老者高深莫测地一笑，便离开了，只留下一道长长的背影。我细细品味着老者的话，觉得很有道理，是啊，漫漫人生之路，怎会不遇到风雨？只要我们坚强、勇敢、永不言败，风雨就像纸老虎，不堪一击。
我下定决心，扎好裤角，把脚伸到了水中。“咝”真冷！冰冷的河水刺激着我的皮肤，像针扎似的，很疼很疼，全身的血液都好像在瞬间凝固了。我暗想：我不能放弃，就像那位老者所说，我已经选择了远方，就不能够在中途停下脚步。我继续向前走，但河水的冲击力将要把我击倒。渐渐地，水已经淹到了我的膝盖。我在河里拼命地站稳脚跟，一步又一步艰难地迈着。终于，功夫不负有心人，我成功到达对岸了，我朝我的目标又近了一步。天空很蓝很蓝，不带一丝瑕疵，就像我此刻的心情一样。
人生就是如此，需不断去追逐。在走向远方这一条艰难的道路上，挫折伴你行。相信吧！雨后的彩虹会更加绚烂，人生因挫折而美丽。是男儿总是要走向远方：走向远方，是为了让自己活得更自在；走向远方，是为了让自己的人生更精彩；走向远方，是为了让生命更辉煌！
