活动宗旨
在21世纪的今天，英语在国际交流与对外活动中发挥着越来越大的作用，作为新时代的大学生,学好英语,流畅口语是顺应社会发展所必备的素质。为了提高在校大学生的口语水平,丰富丰富我校的校园文化生活，体现大学生朝气蓬勃、积极向上的精神状态，提高我院学生英语口语表达能力及现场演讲能力，营造浓厚的校园学术氛围，同时也为了提高大学生综合素质，帮助广大学生合理规划英语学习，特举办计算机学院英语演讲比赛同学们的业余生活, 展示学生的风采，增强学生学习英语的`兴趣同时增强校园英语学习的良好氛围,我院决定在四月举办“中山大学南方学院第四届校园文化艺术节之英语演讲大赛”。
活动目的
提高同学学习英语的积极性，特别是提高对英语口语训练的积极性。丰富学生的课余生活。为同学们提供一个学习和交流英语学习的平台，共同进步。加深对英语口语重要性的认识。通过举办活动，为广大英语爱好者提供一个相互交流和学习的机会
对英语尤其对英语口语有一定的热情及功底。

2）比赛规则：
由学习部组成评选小组，对参赛人员进行初赛的选拔。
初赛胜出者将参加由院里直接进行的演讲比赛。选出获奖参赛者
3）比赛内容及方式
比赛分两轮进行，初赛参赛决出前十名，决赛按照得分高低依次排列
②决赛：演讲比赛
提前抽签决定上场顺序，每位参赛选手进行30秒左右自我介绍，5分钟自由演讲和6分钟以内的才艺表演，并根据本环节评分选出一二三等奖各一名。
四、比赛注意事项
1).所有选手必须按抽号顺序上台演讲，如无法按时参加比赛，则自动放弃比赛资格。 2). 在决赛演讲比赛中，若参赛选手在规定时间内不能完成演讲，评委在打分时将酌情扣分，最多扣除3分
3). 所有比赛完成后，将颁发个人奖的一、二、三名选手。

Today is Monday; I wake up at 6 o’clock in the morning. Then I have my breakfast at home and take the subway to school. I am quite excited about this day, because our chemistry teacher will teach us to do an interesting experiment. This experiment is about how to create soap. Last week, the chemistry teacher promised that we would have something fun in this week. Making our own special soap is the mission in this class.
When the experience begins, the whole class is very exciting; we mix the oil, water and lye. You need to be very careful, because the lye is harmful to the skin.
