i am chinese. i am proud of being a chinese with five thousand years of civilization behind. i've learned about the four great inventions made by our forefathers. i've learned about the great wall and the yangtze river. i've learned about zhang heng(张衡)and i've learned about zheng he(郑和).who says the yellow river civilization has vanished(消失)?i know that my ancestors have made miracles(奇迹)on this fertile land and we're still ma-ki-ng miracles. who can ignore the fact that we have established ourselves as a great state in the world, that we have devised our own nuclear weapons, that we have successfully sent our satellites into space, and that our gnp ranks no. 7 in the world? we have experienced the plunders (掠夺) by other nations, and we have experienced the war. yet, based on such ruins, there still stands our nation----china, unyielding and unconquerable!
i once came acroan american tourist. she said, “china has a history of five thousand years, but the us only has a history of 200 years. five thousand years ago, china took the lead in the world, and now it is the us that is leading.”my heart was deeply touched by these words. it is true that we're still a developing nation, but it doesn't mean that we can despise (鄙视) ourselves. we have such a long-standing history, we have such abundant resources, we have such intelligent and diligent people, and we have enough to be proud of. we have reasons to say proudly： we are sure to take the lead in the world in the future again, for our problems are big, but our ambition (雄心) is even bigger, our challenges (挑战) are great, but our will is evengreater.

today, my speech is about talents,in my opionion, talents are indispensable in nowadays society. as is known to all that the fight among countries is actually the fight among talents.
first, i'd like to define the word“talent” in my idea, a talent is one person who is good at or expertised in some or multiple areas. nowadays, as the world developing goes on , if one country want to rank top or do a good job in the world, the country must have many talents.for example, china, the biggest developing country in the world, in the past 100 years, is always invaded by other countries, why ,the reason is that china at that time had not so many talents. if they had anti-intrusion leader talents in the war, needless to say,they would have beat those big powers.if they had talents in weapons manufacturing, nodody dares to provoke us.however, nowadays, it's a totally different situation, china has become powerfulin all over the world, why ? because there are many talents serving the country, the civilians become more and more literated.more and more people go to university,more and more people come to receive further education. so what is that in return,talents in army protect our country from invasion, talents in commerce help make our economy keep in improving, talents in aerospace make the world see chinese manned spacecraft flying. talents in sports make china rank the first in the olympic games......
to sum up, talents will play a more and more impoetant role in the world, if one country intends to flourish, he must foster talents as many as they can ,that's all,thank you.

As you slowly open your eyes, look around , notice where the light comes into your room; listen carefully, see if there are new sounds you can recognize; feel with your body and spirit, and see if you can sense the freshness in the air. Yes, yes, yes, it’s a new day, it’s a different day, and it’s a bright day! And most importantly, it is a new beginning for your life, a beginning where you are going to make new desicisions, take new actions, make new friends, and take your life to a totally unprecedented level! You know all this is real as long as you are confident,passionate and committed! And you are confident, you are passionate, you are committed!
You will no longer fear making new sounds, showing new facial expressions, using your body in new ways,approaching new people, and asking new questions. You will live every single day of your life with absolute passion, and you will show your passion through the words you speak and the actions you take. You will focus all your time and effort on the most important goals of your life. You will never succumb to challenges of hardships. You will never waver in your pursuit of excellence. After all,you are the best, and you deserve the best!
As your coach and friend, I can assure you the door to all the best things in the world will open to you, but the key to that door is in your hand. You must do your part, you must faithfully follow the plans you make and take the actions you plan, you must never quit, you must never fear. hello everyone!Everyone has his own dream. For example, I want to be a teacher, scientist, biologist, writer and so on, and my dream is to become a calligrapher when I grow up.
I like calligraphy very much. I like the breadth and depth of calligraphy and the beauty of Chinese calligraphy. From seal scri pt to cursive sc ript, from Lanting preface to Duobao pagoda, I like them very much. Every time I write, I take it as a pleasure and write every word carefully.

Good morning everyone
It's a great honor for me to stand here to deliver a speech to you. Then today I want to talk something about dreams and reality.
As the famous Russian litterateur Lev Tolstoy (列夫、托尔斯泰)said, “Ideal is the beacon(烟火、灯塔). Without ideal, there is no secure (无虑的., 安全的, 安心的, 可靠的, 保险的)direction; without a direction, there is no life.” So there’s no doubt that everyone needs his or her own ideal. Have you ever thought that what is practical and sensible(.明智的, 有感觉的, 明理的) will connect with our most treasured dreams? Maybe, to somebody, reality has little relation to ideal. To others nothing can be done without the sense of reality. So make our dreams a part of our reality. And make our reality a part of our dreams. There is no reason why our dreams must oppose our reality. Improve our dreams and our reality by bringing them together.
As a university student, establishing a dream is one of the most important things we have to do .But everyone must see the reality clearly at first. Your family condition, your personal ability, your social intercourse (交往、交流), your subject and the job you want to do, these things show you the reality and lead you to establish a dream.
Further more, difficult or otherwise, we should put the power of reality into our dreams. Last but not least remember to work hard at the task of chasing 追逐our dreams. Do believe that we can achieve our ideal step by step by the passage of time!

Someone said “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book， whose pages are infinite”。 I don’t know who wrote these words， but I’ve always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want it to be。 We are all in the position of the farmers。 If we plant a good seed ，we reap a good harvest。 If we plant nothing at all， we harvest nothing at all。

We are young。 “How to spend the youth?” It is a meaningful question。 To answer it， first I have to ask “what do you understand by the word youth?” Youth is not a time of life， it’s a state of mind。 It’s not a matter of rosy cheeks， red lips or supple knees。 It’s the matter of the will。 It’s the freshness of the deep spring of life。

I wondered whether we could see our future in this way。 Well， let’s make a fist。 Where is our future? Where is our love， career， and life? Tell me。Yeah， it is in our hands。 It is held in ourselves。

We all want the future to be better than the past。 But the future can go better itself。 Don’t cry because it is over， smile because it happened。 From the past， we’ve learnt that the life is tough， but we are tougher。 We’ve learnt that we can’t choose how we feel， but we can choose what about it。 Failure doesn’t mean you don’t have it， it does mean you should do it in a different way。 Failure doesn’t mean you should give up， it does mean you must try harder。
我们所有人都期望未来能比过去更完美，可是未来能自我变得更好。不要因为结束而哭泣，微笑吧，为你的以往拥有。从过去来看，生活是艰苦的，但我们是更坚强。我们明白我们不能选择感觉，可是我们能选择和它相关的东西。失败并不意味着你不拥有成功，它只意味着你应当用另一种方式去做这件事。失败并不意味着你应当放下，只意味着你应当更加努力。
As what I said at the beginning， “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book， whose pages are infinite”。 The past has gone。 Nothing we do will change it。 But the future is in front of us。 Believe that what we give to the world， the world will give to us。 And from today on， let’s be the owners of ourselves， and speak out “We are the world， we are the future。”
正如我在前面所说的“我们正在读一本无穷的书中的第一章的第一节。”过去的已经过去，无论我们无力改变，可是未来却在我们前方。相信“我们给了世界什么，世界也将给我们”。并且从今日起，让我们一齐做我们自我的主人，一齐大声说出“世界是我们的，未来是我们的。”
