亲爱的老师，同学们：
这不是一个好谈的话题，因为每个人对这个话题的诠释都不一样，况且我们每个人又都在体验着这个话题的真正内涵，每个人对“活着”这个词语又都有话语权。但是今天我还是很想与大家分享一下我对为什么要活着这个话题的看法。希望大家能够静静的聆听下。我会很感谢的。
说到“活着”，大多数我们首先考虑到的是这个问题，活与死的区别，而“活”与“死”这两个字是强烈对比的，所以对于这个问题我们也可以延伸为‘为什么活着’，‘活比死的好处是什么’（同学们有想到过这个问题吗）我把我活着的原因归结为三点：
首先，活着有很多好处。比如，我可以上大学，认识大学里的好友，还可以在这里认识演讲老师以及学弟学妹们。可以享受生活，可以追逐梦想，可以追寻爱情，也可以不用担心死后被火化，也不用担心死后灵魂到底归于何处。等等，同学们可以自由发挥。
其次，责任让我们只能活着。如社会的责任，家庭的责任等。如果选择死的话，会让身边关心你的人难过。如果我是一个人的话，我做很多事都会没有顾忌的，但是我不是，所以在做很多事之前我会考虑顾忌到身边关心我的人。我想这也是造成我至今优柔寡断的性格的原因吧。呵呵
再次，死也不容易。先不说你要选择怎样的死法，到底死时要不要化妆，穿什么衣服等等一系列的问题很复杂。我们姑且就说下我们死后安葬的问题吧。墓地有多贵？以北京为例，总价四五万元的墓地属于最便宜之列，而10万元―50万元之间均属中档，最贵的“豪华墓”可达数百万元之巨；从单价看，万安公墓部分墓地要价21.8万/平方米，超过了北京2月住房均价2.35万/平方米的九倍（数据来自南方周末的‘天价墓地’一文）。所以无任是公益性公墓还是经营性公墓价格都是很贵的。活着做房奴，难道死后还要做墓奴吗？所以，我不死，一定得活着，而且要活的好好的。《非诚勿扰》里面有一句话，我一直记忆犹新：活着的时候人挤人，死了还要人挤人。（以昌北缨上公墓为例）无奈啊。相比较，还是活着吧。

A lot of measures have been taken. Planting trees helps improve and beautify the environment. Besides laws concerning environmental protection have been put into effect and achieved good results.
However the problem of environmental protection remains far from being solved. On the one hand the environment pollution and destruction are getting worse and worse in the modern world. On the other hand the lack of knowledge about the importance of protecting environment hinders the solving of the problem. In a word there is a long way to go before we enjoy a clean and comfortable world.
