autumn is lovely. it is the season of harvest. there are many oranges on the trees on tianping mountain. they were smiling at our arrival.
on the 12th november, , we came to the orange garden and saw many lovely oranges. some of them were not fully ripe, so their peels were green like small bells or lanterns. how beautiful! when i picked oranges, i needed to use force to pull them down. they seemed as if they were not willing to leave their mums―the orange trees. the oranges were big and round. their peels were very thin. we tasted a section of the orange. it was sweet and a slightly sour. i feel that suzhou has really good mountains, good water and good scenery!
through this autumn outing, i experienced the happiness of harvest and the hardness of labor.
第二篇：英语的演讲
五年级的时候，有一天我对妈妈说：“妈妈，我想参英语演讲，您同不同意？”
妈妈说：“好事啊！我为什么不同意？”
我说：“那你得帮我写演讲稿。”
妈妈说：“那怎么行，你得自己写演讲稿。再说，我大学学的那点英语早还给老师了。”
我威胁妈妈：“你要不帮我写，我就不参加了！”
妈妈想了想，终于妥协了：“好吧。不过中文演讲稿你必须自己写。我可以找人帮你翻译成英文。”
“Ye！”谈判成功！中文演讲稿还不好说，半个小时就搞定了。
第二天，妈妈找单位英语专业的同事把演讲稿译成了英文。晚上，妈妈一手拿着快译通，一手拿着红笔，把演讲稿中所有她拿不准的单词都查了个底掉，好端端的演讲稿被妈妈写的红色的音标搞得血泪斑斑。
第三天晚上，妈妈问我：“你们老师要求念，还是要求背？”
“老师说，最好背下来。”
“那好，你先得念熟。跟着我念！注意发音和语调！别看我不会翻译，我读英文那是标准的伦敦腔。”老妈又自吹自擂了。
我真后悔！写中文演讲稿时光注意排比了，结果翻译出来生词一大堆！我不认识音标，有的句子念好几遍也记不住，于是我在妈妈写的音标下面加注“中文音标”比如gourd下面注“郭的”。这下，演讲稿五颜六色，更加惨不忍睹。
第四天，我背下了两段。第五天，都背下来了，可是磕磕巴巴的。第六天，又背了几遍，好多了。第七天，我满怀信心迎接预选赛。
所有参加预选赛的同学被分为几组，分别进不同的教室接受检验。我在教室外一边等待上场，一边念念有词巩固背诵成果，我很有信心通过预赛。该我入场了，教室里只有一位英语老师，我要用流利的.演讲打动她！我首先问老师好，然后把事先准备好的中英文对照的演讲稿双手递给老师。老师没有表情地说：“不用了，开始吧！”
我开始用抑扬顿挫的声调充满感情地背诵演讲稿――居然没有打磕巴，妈妈提醒的所有地方都没出错！啊！我太兴奋了，当我说完“That’s all, thank you！”我想老师一定会冲我点头微笑！
可是，老师没有微笑，没有任何表情地说：“下一个！”
是的，结果就像老师的表情一样――预选赛，我被淘汰了。
我白准备了一个星期，妈妈也白跟着忙活了一场。妈妈一个劲儿地安慰我，可是，我还是对这件事耿耿于怀好几天。
现在，我六年级了，要不是翻出当时的演讲稿，这件事早忘了。今天把它贴出来：与大家“同烦”。

Beauty usually refers to what appeals to the eye. A nice and well built girl is regarded as beautiful. A bunch of vigorous flowers are also considered as beautiful. A splendid waterfall coming down from a mountain is as well looked on as beautiful.
Beauty also refers to what appeals to the mind. The virtue of the Chinese nation-industry and bravery are taken as beautiful, because it helped to produce such a magnificent culture in the world. Einstein's theory of relativity is also perceived as beautiful, for it explains many natural phenomena so perfectly.
Beauty is around us. If you keep an eye or pay some attention, it is never difficult to find something beautiful somewhere about you. Wonderful natural spots, historical relics,fine arts, splendid buildings, and kind people are just a few inches away.
