If I had a chance to go to some place else, I will go to Los Angelus, America.

I’ll go there because I like the climate there. In spring, it will be drier than Guangzhou, so things there won’t get moist. In summer, although it’s hot, but won’t be hot to death. In autumn and winter, it won’t get too cold. And it’s not semi-tropical, so there won’t be too moist in the forest. The air there is cool, dry. It’s also not polluted, so it smells good. The living area there is near-by. It won’t be tens or hundreds kilometers between a living area to another. It’s just some meters between.

That’s why I like going to Los Angelus.

  Dear school leaders, teachers and dear students

Good morning, everyone!

Recently, many people of insight in the educational and academic circles have called for the national art education to become a social problem that people should pay attention to. The art education mentioned here is different from the professional education of cultivating specialized art talents, but refers to improving students' cultural accomplishment, appreciation ability and aesthetic taste. The aim of artistic quality education is to cultivate personality. It is our goal to focus on cultivating the quality of intelligence as knowledge, temperament as emotion, personality as will, and ability as technology. Art education is a kind of infiltration education, that is, art education is infiltrated into the teaching of Chinese, mathematics, English and other disciplines. It plays an irreplaceable role in shaping people's ideological sentiments, improving people's aesthetic taste, and enabling people to establish lofty aesthetic ideals.

Take the art education in art education as an example. Through various teaching practice activities, it enables students to understand and understand beauty through direct feelings, appreciate beauty through perception, and embody and create beauty through perception, so as to achieve a deeper aesthetic consciousness.

As an experimental primary school in Jiangsu Province, art education should be an indispensable part of school education. For every person I’ve named, for every example I’ve cited, there are thousands of other Harvard citizens C students and alumni, faculty and staff C who are making the world better in more ways than we could possibly imagine. That is the power of this institution C not its brand, not our buildings, not our pomp and circumstance (as wonderful and terrific as that is). This University, Harvard, is its people C their aspirations, their achievements C their diversity of background, experience and thought C their desire to see beyond themselves and their devotion to serving others.

So, yes, I am an optimist. I’m an optimist because I live and work among all of you C because I see what you can do and because I know the boundless potential of what you can do. May we look to one another for inspiration in the years to come. May the expectations placed on us be exceeded only by our ability to meet them. And may Harvard continue to be a wellspring of hope for the world. It’s an honor to serve you as your president.

Good morning, Class of 20xx!

Thank you, President Tessier-Lavigne, for that very generous introduction. I’ll do my best to earn it.

Before I begin, I want to recognize everyone whose hard work made this celebration possible, including the groundskeepers, ushers, volunteers and crew. Thank you.

I’m deeply honored and frankly a little astonished to be invited to join you for this most meaningful of occasions.

Graduates, this is your day. But you didn’t get here alone.

Family and friends, teachers, mentors, loved ones, and, of course, your parents, all worked together to make you possible and they share your joy today. Here on Father’s Day, let’s give the dads in particular a round of applause.

Stanford is near to my heart, not least because I live just a mile and a half from here.

Of course, if my accent hasn’t given it away, for the first part of my life, I had to admire this place from a distance.

I went to school on the other side of the country, at Auburn University, in the heart of landlocked Eastern Alabama.

Sports give me a strong body and bring me a lot of fun. If you want to be strong, please do sports; if you want to enjoy a happy life, please do sports, too.
