When I was seven years old, I began to learn English. I play games and sing English songs with other children. Sometimes I watch English cartoons. This is interesting. Then I discovered the beauty of language and began my colorful dream in the English world.

I hope I can travel around the world someday. I want to visit Washington because my cousin is there. Of course, Id like to go to London too, because England is a place for English language development. If I could ride my bike at Cambridge, I would be very happy.

I wish I could speak English with all the people in the world. I will also introduce China to them, such as the Great Wall and the gardens in suzhou. I will teach people all over the world about the beautiful language of our country.

I like English. Its great to learn English. I once wanted to be an English teacher. I also like Chinese literature. When I was little, I could remember many poems. I also want to be a Chinese teacher. Now I think both of my dreams can be realized: I can teach foreign friends Chinese in English and share Chinese culture with them. Therefore, more and more people will be able to understand 5,000 years of history and culture and the prosperity of our great motherland.

My future is not a dream.

Good evening，Ladies and Gentlemen:　　Thank you very much for choosing to come in such a cold y my topic is about choice and process.A research shows that a man has to make 73 choices one so many choices one day，people easily get so confused and afraid of making wrong choice that they hesitate and finally miss the true part of life. In my opinion，the following part is of much more importance than the choice. There is no absolute right or wrong choice but wonderful or boring life，which the process makes the difference.　　Life is a box of chocolate，you never know what you will get. Forrest Gump made no decision by and for himself but he accomplished great success with his strong will in the process. The process is not the road itself but the attitudes and feelings，the caution，courage and persistance we have as we encounter new experience and unexpected obstacles. Take myself as an example，I changed my major when I became a postgraduate. After the choice，days have been harsh for me.I cannot understand the new lessons at all. For they are closely related to mathmatics which I learned nothing about before. However wuth the belief that this is the great chance for me to experience new ideas and challenge myself，I persisted. I asked for help from every channel and reorgonized my life. Gradually I could understand some parts and even found maths over，I learned to act instead of complaining. In retrospect，the choice left no trace in my mind but the happiness and bitterness of the past four months becomes an unforgetable experience in my life.　　NO matter what the choice is，enjoy the process. In the process，your potential will be inspired and new discoveries，improvement and progress will come to you. Good afternoon ，ladies and gentlemen!

I’m very honored to stand here and give you a short speech! my topic is Opportunities and Challenges.

First, I would like to know, what does your destiny offer you? Happiness, wisdom, a strong body or something else. If I had asked this question to president Nixon, he would probably had said,”Our destiny offers not the cup of despair, but the chalice of opportunity.”

Needless to say, one of the biggest opportunities given to China is the 2015 Olympic Games. Till now, how much changes have you seen? New roads, new subway lines, public-exercising equipments with beautiful colors, large blocks of grass fields, and also lots of modern gyms which are under construction.

Other than those, there are even more good effects brought to us by the Olympic Games that cannot be seen directly. For example, more and more people will get to know China. I’m sure the mysterious Chinese culture will attract them strongly. And the games will also do good to the economy and environment, for it is gaining the attention of foreign investors and the awareness of environmental protection is being strengthened. What is more, Olympic Games give a unique opportunity to inspire and educate a new generation of Chinese youth with the Olympic values and the Olympic spirit. Now that we have seen so many advances, could you even imagine us losing the holding rights?

I’ve already said a lot about the Olympics and China. But I think everyone should use some time to think of this question, ”Does the Olympic Games have any special meaning to you?”

For us, I mean the Chinese youth, 2015 Olympic Games is a tremendous gift. Because what we are waiting for is to do something significant as repaying the love given to us .The society is just like a ship, and in our dreams the captain is waving his hand and saying ”Hey! Come here and take the helm! ”How charming his voice is, but we have never heard of it in our true life. This morning, however, when we wake up, we will see the Olympic Games waving its hand. After chewing, most of us will have at least one plan about what to do for the Olympic Games. And mine is to be a “comforter” ----that is someone who will give comfort to others.

At the end of my speech, I hope all the preparation will go well, and everyone will show their ability to the world. Let us seize opportunities and give a big smile to challenges.

THE first time I saw Bao was in 20xx, the year when Thomas and Uber Cup was held. At that time he was playing against Li zongwei, who is also a good player from Malaysia. Bao beat him. To tell the truth, at first the reason why I liked him was just because I thought he was pretty.*(maybe it is not a suitable word, but I think no better word can describe him, he is really pretty!) From that time, I have focused on him. Then gradually, I found that he not only has good appearance, but also has a talent for badminton.

He is very tall, about 1.90 meters. He is the tallest one among all the players in the Chinese Badminton Team. In 20xx, he is chosen as the flag holder stands for China in the opening ceremony in the 15th Asian Games held in Doha. It was the first time that the badminton players were chosen to take over the special task, before which time, it belonged to the basketball players. It was a great honor. And it also proved that Bao was an excellent athlete. We are all proud of him.

He began to play badminton when he was at primary school. In 20xx, he won his first good medal, which was significant to him, in Guangzhou. Because of that, he entered the Chinese Badminton Team. As he is as old as Lin dan, who is the top one in the world, he is always put into a situation which is not good to him. He seldom beats Lin dan, so he gained a name which is called’千年老二’. In fact, his techniques are comprehensive, but he is lack of passion, the desire to win is not so strong. So he always has misplays. Due to this, he seldom wins the gold medal. I think this is related to his character. He is easygoing and couth; he looks as if he will never get angry with anybody. So this affects him while he is playing badminton. In a period of time, critical voice has come towards him. He is under great pressure. He was not in the best state. But recently he cheers up again. Several days ago, the Chinese Badminton Championship 20xx was held in Guangzhou. I went to see him on Saturday. I was very excited, and I shouted loudly, hoping he could hear me. There is no doubt that he won the game. Before he went away, he waved hand to us, how excited I was at that time! The next day, he beat Li zongwei again and he won the man’s single gold medal. All of us are very happy. After 7 years, which could be a long time for an athlete, he proved himself again in Guangzhou, which is considered as his lucky place.

I think this will be the energy of his advancing. And I hope he can keep this fighting will and win the gold medal in the 29th Olympic Games held in Beijing!
